Use the Right Keywords
If you want people to find your videos on YouTube, make sure they’re keyword-rich. The right keywords can mean a new audience for your business, so don’t be afraid of using things like buy gold coins in your video title or tags. It might seem like an overreach at first, but there are a ton of searches for products like gold coins every day. If you get creative with it, these search terms can yield some pretty good results.
Create Engaging Thumbnails
A lot of people skip through videos on their news feed so it’s imperative that you have an interesting thumbnail. This will help engage viewers in your video as well as encourage them to watch more of your videos. How do you do it? Keep these tips in mind
Advertise on Facebook
It doesn’t matter if you use Facebook for personal reasons or professionally—the world’s biggest social media platform can help drive tons of traffic your way. (And, yes, it has its own video-sharing platform.) If you’re posting something on Facebook that should naturally go viral—e.g., your company just came out with a new product line—you can further incentivize sharing by providing an opportunity for users to win something in exchange for sharing your content.
Get Some Great Images
Images are everything in video marketing. If you have a social video, first things first: plan what you’re going to shoot! Come up with something original, because if it’s not interesting for your viewers, then why are they going to share it? People don’t want an exact script, but give them some details so they know what kind of video you’re making. Finally, be sure that your lighting is perfect for filming – natural light is best when shooting videos indoors!
Come Up With a Catchy Title
Everything starts with a headline—if you want your video (or post) to get noticed, it’s going to have to stand out from all of those other videos vying for attention. A catchy title is a good place to start—something eye-catching that will immediately grab someone’s attention and compel them to click. Once they do, it’s up you.
Include Links in Your Video
One of my favorite ways to help my channel gain more views is by creating content with other channels. The easiest way to do so is by simply asking them if they’d like me to include a link in one of my videos that takes viewers directly to their channel. Since YouTube videos are organic, meaning they show up based on relevance and popularity, including links in your video is one of the best ways you can direct traffic back at your favorite channels!
